Anneri van Schalkwyk (previously Koen) is the photographer behind Anni Photography and based in Nelspruit, Mbombela. She is the wife to Rian van Schalkwyk and a mother their 2 girls.

She completed her LLB degree in 2013 soon after the birth of their first daughter, Lizane. It was then that she discovered her love for photography. This passion grew larger than her love for Law. Thus she started to pursue a career as a photographer, a dream from childhood now realised.

As a loving, caring and outgoing person that always find the beauty in everything, she believes that there is beauty in the simple things in life. This fuels her creativity for photography. "I prefer to keep things as simple and as natural as possible, not only in my life but also in my style of photography."

Originally from Lydenburg, she grew up in the spectacular mountainous area of Mpumalanga, South Africa. Her outdoor lifestyle, sparked by her love for nature, gave her the ideal opportunity to cultivate her outdoor lifestyle photography skills.
